Ray Allen Says He's Talked Potential Comeback With Celtics

BOSTON (CBS) – After two years away from basketball, Ray Allen says he's considering a comeback. And he may be willing to return the team where he won his first championship.

The 41-year-old shooting guard told the Hartford Courant Saturday that he has been working out in hopes he will be able to draw attention from an NBA team.

Allen has not played since the 2013-14 season when he scored nearly 10 points per game in his second season with the Miami Heat.

In his interview with the Courant, Allen said he has spoken with the Celtics about a potential return. Allen won a championship and played in the postseason five times during his Celtics tenure.

The sharp shooter also mentioned the Milwaukee Bucks, his first NBA team, as a possibility.

"I would love going back to those places if it worked out," Allen told the Courant, adding "I want to be in a situation where I thought I could help, play a little bit and help where they have good young talent."
