Randolph Man Wins $1 Million In Second Chance Lottery Game

RANDOLPH (CBS) – The second time was a charm for one Randolph lottery player.

Joseph Kelley of Randolph won $1 million in a second chance drawing of the Massachusetts State Lottery's "World Class Millions" instant game, which is the largest prize ever offered in the state.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Kelley opted to accept cash for his prize, which means he will receive a one-time payment of $650,000 after taxes.

Kelley said he plans to put his winnings towards home repairs while also helping his family, the state lottery announced.

The Randolph resident's winning ticket was selected from more than 936,000 entries.
