Police Arrest Man In Connection Worcester Burned Body, Identify Victim

WORCESTER (CBS) -- Police have identified the burned body that was found in Worcester and made an arrest in connection with the case.

Rafael Guzman, 35, was arrested for accessory after the fact and was arraigned, according to Worcester police.

The body of 30-year-old Benjamin Pacheco was found in the woods off Granite Street on Tuesday morning. His death has been ruled a homicide.

Surveillance video of the scene showed a car on Granite Street near where Pacheco was found. The same car was seen being used by Guzman hours earlier at the Great Brook Valley housing development where he lives, a police report said.

It also detailed Pacheco had a "sharp penetrating wound" on his neck and bruising on his back.

Police said Guzman admitted to being with Pacheco on Monday afternoon and that the two know each other.
