Police Officer Seriously Injured After Being Hit By Car In Quincy
QUINCY (CBS) – A veteran police officer was hit by a car Friday morning in Quincy, but is expected to make a full recovery.
The officer was hit just after 10 a.m. while working detail on the Fore River Bridge.
Quincy Police said the officer is in serious condition after suffering head and shoulder injuries.
An ambulance was called and the officer was transported to Boston Medical Center.
The ambulance received a State Police escort to the hospital.
Quincy Police said Friday afternoon Detective Thomas Pepdjonovic is expected to make a full recovery.

Traffic has been shut down on the bridge while police investigate.
