Quincy Dog Owners Taking Advantage Of City's Snow Farm

QUINCY (CBS) – Residents are growing weary of the mountains of snow piled around cities and towns throughout Massachusetts.

But for some New Englanders, the snow is enough to make their tail wag.

At a snow farm in a secluded area of Quincy, several dogs have taken the opportunity to stretch their legs and get some exercise.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Karen Twomey spoke to the owner of two of the 10 dogs who were at the park this week. The woman said the snow farm is a winter wonderland for her basset hound and greyhound.

"I couldn't get over how much she liked the snow," the woman said of her greyhound.

The snow farm provides room for the dogs to run in the snow, without their owners having to shovel a path.

And for dog owners, that's exactly what they need in the midst of a long winter.

"I'm happy just to be able to get out," one dog owner said.
