Puppy Found In Pocket Of Alleged Drug Dealer In Lawrence

WALTHAM (CBS) – A puppy that was found in the pocket of an alleged drug dealer is recovering, according to veterinarians.

The approximately three week old American pit bull terrier turned up during the arrest of a man in Lawrence last week. The puppy was turned over to Lawrence Animal Control, which later gave Pittie Love Rescue ownership.

She is currently being treated by doctors at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Waltham.

The rescue group named her "Pocket" because of where she was found. Doctors expect Pocket to make a full recovery and expect to discharge her on Friday.
