President Trump's Weekly Address: July 28, 2017

WASHINGTON (CBS) – President Donald Trump spotlighted the "heroes among us" during his weekly address on Friday.

Trump discussed the police officers, military members and others who have performed heroic deeds. He said meeting these people is among the highlights of his presidency.

Congresswoman Betty McCollum of Minnesota gave the Democratic response.

McCollum decried what she called a "do-nothing Congress and a president who offers inappropriate insults rather than inspired ideas."
