Thousands Lose Power In Massachusetts During Tropical Storm Elsa

BOSTON (CBS) - Thousands of homes and businesses lost power as Tropical Storm Elsa hit Massachusetts Friday.

Eversource said more than 40,000 customers have had their power restored since the storm began.

According to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency, approximately 4,000 customers were still without electricity just after 7:00 p.m.

Plympton, Mashpee and Bolton were among the hardest hit towns.

Several towns were also soaked with several inches of rain from the storm.
