Pottery Barn Recalls 'Avengers' and 'Star Wars' Themed Water Bottles

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS) -- Pottery Barn is recalling its Avengers and 'Star Wars' themed stainless steel water bottles because they may contain too much lead.

About 15,200 bottles featuring the images of Thor, The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man on one, and a picture of Darth Vader and the Death Star on the other could contain excessive levels of lead, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

"The gray paint on the metal portion of the water bottle can contain excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard," the CPSC said.

No injuries or illnesses have been reported yet.

The bottles were sold across the country at Pottery Barn Kids and Pottery Barn stores from June 2014 to Sept. 2015 for about $16.

Anyone who bought the bottles should immediately take them away from kids. They can be returned to Pottery Barn stores for a refund plus a $20 Pottery Barn Kids gift card.
