Police: Shots Fired In Chelsea Parking Space Argument

CHELSEA (AP) — Bail has been set at $50,000 for a 28-year-old Revere man accused of firing shots into the air during what prosecutors said was a dispute over a parking space.

Jeffrey Moreno pleaded not guilty on Friday to several charges including assault with a dangerous weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm. He is an MBTA bus driver, and has been suspended without pay.

The Suffolk District Attorney's office says two people who had been attending a holiday party told police they were confronted by a man who yelled at them to move from their parking space.

They told police the man got a gun from his own car and fired three shots into the air. No one was hurt.

Prosecutors said a SWAT team was called when police were unable to contact anyone inside Moreno's home. The suspect later came out and was arrested.
