Police Searching For Suspect Accused Of Robbing Two Uber Drivers

BOSTON (CBS) -- Boston Police reported that two Uber drivers were robbed an hour apart, possibly at gunpoint, and the crime may have been done by the same people.

The first incident happened just after midnight Wednesday morning, when two young men got into an Uber car.

The driver dropped them off at the corner of Bickford and Heath St. in Jamaica  Plain.

Then, men robbed him of his cellphone and wallet.

They disappeared into the Bromley-Heath Housing Projects.

Just an hour later, another Uber driver picked up three men, who asked to be taken to the same place, and he too was robbed of the same items.

Uber has since identified the passenger who contracted with the drivers and police are now looking for him.
