Missing Woman Last Seen At Logan Airport Found Safe In CT

BOSTON (CBS) - A Rhode Island woman who police said had been missing since she left Logan Airport Thursday afternoon was found safe in Connecticut Friday morning.

Patricia Girardi, 46, of North Kingstown, left Logan around 12:30 p.m. but never arrived home.

Her husband told North Kingstown police she was returning from a business trip and that she called him after her flight landed and said she would be home shortly.

He called police when she did not arrive, saying this was out of character for her.

Investigators tracked her cell phone to an area north of Hartford late Thursday night.

Police say Girardi was found safe around 8:30 a.m. Friday in Farmington, Connecticut, about 8 miles from Hartford.

"She was located at a Farmington Hotel and is fine. She has business in CT and stated she will contact her family at a later time," Farmington Police Lt. Colin Ryan told WBZ-TV in an email.

No other details have been released at this point in the investigation.
