Police Officer Rescues Teddy Bear Blanket Dropped In UPS Mailbox

WEST BRIDGEWATER (CBS) – A young boy has a West Bridgewater police officer to thank for rescuing his blanket from a UPS mailbox.

West Bridgewater police say that on Friday afternoon, "little Anthony decided to send his beloved teddy bear blanket on an adventure." Anthony dropped the blanket in a UPS Mailbox in Sharon while walking with his mother, and started panicking when he couldn't retrieve it.

Fortunately, West Bridgewater special police officer Paul Meehan also works at UPS, and was able to get the blanket before Monday morning pickup.

Anthony was reunited with the blanket Monday night.
