Police: Man Tries To Break Into Methuen ATM With Hammer

METHUEN (CBS) - A man tried to break into a Methuen drive-through ATM using a small hammer early Monday morning, police say.

The attempted robbery happened at about 4 a.m. at the People's United Bank on Jackson Street, according to the Methuen police Facebook page.

He made several attempts to break into the ATM but was unsuccessful.

Investigators say some damage was done to the lock on the door.

No arrests have been made.
