QUINCY (CBS) - A man is facing assault charges after he allegedly attacked his ex-wife's divorce lawyer with a hatchet in a Quincy parking garage, police say.

Michael Kelly, 53, of Quincy, was arrested Thursday on charges of assault with intent to murder and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person over 65.

He pleaded not guilty in Quincy District Court.

On Friday, Kelly's lawyer asked that he be kept out of view in court but the judge denied the motion, according to WBZ-TV's Susie Steimle.

Kelly allegedly had a contentious relationship with the man he's accused of attacking.

Prosecutors say bloody tissues were found in Kelly's car and are being analyzed. The vehicle was reportedly at the scene of the attack.

The judge ordered Kelly held until March 4 when a dangerousness hearing is expected to take place.
