Police Investigating Reports Of Mail Tampering In Ashland

ASHLAND (CBS) -- Police are investigating multiple reports of mail being tampered with in Ashland.

The police department received several reports of tampering, and they are asking residents to bring their mail to them immediately, according to their Twitter and Facebook pages.

Investigators are also asking people to put their outgoing mail in a blue postal drop box to avoid the possibility of tampering.

It's unclear where in town the tampering was reported. No additional information was immediately available.
