Peabody Man Charged With Murdering Girlfriend

PEABODY (CBS) -- Police are investigating an apparent murder in Peabody.

According to the Essex County District Attorney's office, 43-year-old Franklin Castano, of Peabody, turned himself in to Lynn Police.

Police have charged Castano with the murder of his 23-year-old girlfriend.

The DA has not released any additional information.

Castano will be arraigned Friday morning at Peabody District Court.
