Police Investigate Report Of Another Woman Attacked In East Boston

EAST BOSTON (CBS) – Boston police are investigating another attack on a woman in East Boston.

The victim told officers she was attacked on Chelsea Street Friday night around 8:30 p.m.

According to a source, the suspect grabbed the victim from behind and started choking her. She fell to the ground and the attack continued. Eventually the victim says she was able to escape to a nearby apartment.

The latest incident came even after Boston police increased patrols in the area following three attacks on women in the area Monday.

There was no immediate suspect description given.

Police have not said whether they believe this attack is linked to the others.

However, unlike the previous attacks, Friday night's was not considered sexual in nature.
