Police Investigate Death Threat Emailed To Harvard Students, Affiliates

CAMBRIDGE (CBS) – Police are investigating a death threat that was emailed to several hundred Harvard University students and affiliates on Friday afternoon.

The Crimson was forwarded a copy of the email, which stated the author would come to Harvard on Saturday at "11 clock" and "shoot all of you" and "kill you individually."

The author of the email claimed to be from Boston.

Many of the email's recipients appear to have Asian surnames, and the author referred to them as "slit-eyes" The Crimson reported.

Harvard University police issued a community advisory and will increase patrols on campus this weekend. Harvard police say they have notified other law enforcement agencies as well as the FBI.
