Police Identify Man Killed In Cambridge Shooting
CAMBRIDGE (CBS) -- Police have identified the man shot and killed in a car in Cambridge near MIT Wednesday night as 31-year-old Rasaun Nichols.
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan says 5-to-8 gunshots were fired in the area of Windsor and Main Streets just around 8:41 p.m.
Nichols was a passenger inside a car riddled by bullets while leaving Newtowne Court, according to Ryan.
The driver was able to travel about a half-mile down Main Street before stopping near Kendall Square MBTA station.
The driver got help, and Nichols was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made.
Cambridge police, State Police, and the Middlesex District Attorney's Office continue to investigate the incident.
