Police: Home Health Worker Stole Thousands From Elderly Bellingham Family

MEDWAY (CBS) – A home health worker was arrested and charged with stealing thousands of dollars from an elderly Bellingham family she worked for.

Police say 49-year-old Stephanie Crosman of Sharon was arrested and charged with larceny over $250, two counts of improper use of a credit card, and four counts of forgery and uttering a check.

A lengthy police investigation revealed that Crosman allegedly gained access to an elderly Bellingham family's bank account.

Investigators said Crosman wrote herself multiple checks and also used credit and debit cards to make unauthorized purchases and withdrawals.

In total, she is accused of stealing more than $12,000 from the family.

Bellingham police initially investigated the thefts but determined the majority of the transactions took place in Medway.

Officers believe there may be unreported incidents that involve Crosman.
