Police: Driver Admits To Smoking Pot, Huffing Keyboard Cleaner

MILFORD (CBS) -- A 21-year-old driver admitted to police that she had been smoking pot and huffing computer keyboard cleaner before leading officers on a chase, officials say.

Milford police say Emma Bloom of Sharon hit another vehicle on East Main St. Saturday evening and kept driving. Officers chased her and took her into custody after she crashed her own car, according to authorities.

Bloom allegedly told police she was smoking marijuana and huffing computer keyboard cleaner before the incident, even admitting that she had a can of the cleaner in her car at the time.

She was taken to a hospital after complaining of a medical issue.

Police said Bloom was involved in a previous incident in Medfield where she allegedly tried to run over an officer.

Bloom is facing several charges including operating under the influence of drugs and leaving the scene of an accident.
