Police Arrest Man For Alleged Lewd Act In Natick Park

NATICK (CBS) -- A Natick man told officers he got "excited" and decided to commit a lewd act while walking naked by a lake, police said.

On Friday, several people spotted Shreyas Anand, 25, naked at J.J. Lane Park near Speen Street, according Natick police.

Anand then got into his car, and when confronted by police, he was only wearing gym shorts and a jacket, according to a police report. An officer said Anand had tried to quickly get dressed and noticed thong underwear hanging out of the shorts' pocket.

First, Anand told police he had just come from the gym and didn't put on other clothes. But police say he then confessed after being told about the witness reports.

"I don't know what came over my mind," Anand reportedly said. "I just got very excited."

Anand added that he was only outside naked briefly because of the cold, according to the report.

He pleaded not guilty to charges of indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and driving without a license at Framingham District Court and was released on $200 bail.
