Police Arrest Alleged Armed Carjackers In Roxbury

ROXBURY (CBS) -- Boston police have arrested two men they say assaulted and carjacked a man late Saturday evening.

Police were initially following a man around 1a.m. on Sunday who was riding a scooter without a helmet or headlight. According to police, when they entered Trotter Park, they saw two men running towards them looking over their shoulders.  Police stopped the two men for trespassing into the park.

The man on the scooter then approached police and said earlier in the evening the two men had approached his car while he was sleeping, dragged him out and assaulted him, then drove away with his car. The man told police he borrowed his friend's scooter to go look for the men.

Police found a knife and the man's car keys and over 20 Xanax pills in the accused men's pockets. Both men, identified as 25-year-old Cody Brown and 20-year-old Raquawn Givens, both of Dorchester, were arrested and are facing multiple charges.
