Rare Pocket Watch On Sale For $2M In Andover

ANDOVER (CBS) - A local jeweler has a pocket watch for sale for seven figures. It's a rare replica of one of the first automatic watches, the height of high tech for the time.

The original was created by the renowned watchmaker Abraham Breguet in the late 1700's in France. Royal Jewelers in Andover has a replica for sale.

"In my hand I'm holding a two million dollar watch," says Paula Leed of Royal Jewelers, a family owned business in operation for nearly 70 years.

The watch is self-winding and shows the phases of the moon.

"This watch is so rare that there are only a handful left in the world with this being the only one for sale in the world. Our collectors will be flocking for this watch," says Leeds.

Viewing the museum quality timepiece is by appointment only, and the watch is being kept in an undisclosed location. The price tag is $1.9 million.
