Photo From Springsteen's Historic Harvard Sq. Concert On Sale
BOSTON (CBS) – Forty years ago today -- Bruce Springsteen took the stage at the Harvard Square Theater in Cambridge as an opening act for Bonnie Raitt.
It was the concert that launched his career.
His future manager, music critic Jon Landau, was in the audience and later wrote "I saw the future of rock and roll and his name is Bruce Springsteen."
That same night photographer Barry Schneier snapped a photo of Springsteen at the piano playing "For You."
Now, for the first time, 200-prints of the photo are on sale through Gallery: 5.9.1974.
The original is hanging in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
