Phantom Gourmet: Upscale Burgers in Mass.

BOSTON (CBS) - Upscale hamburgers are one of the hottest food trends right now. Dan Andelman of the Phantom Gourmet gets a taste of some of the region's top spots for a good burger.

Bringing gourmet burgers to the Lower Mills section of Dorchester, Bred sizzles up specialties like the sweet and salty "Maui Burger".

Tucked away in an industrial park in Ipswich, Bunz Burger is known for hand-cut fries and hand-made patties, with toppings that range from fig jam and goat cheese to the "Breakfast Burger" with hash browns and a fried egg.

Mini burgers are a big trend right now, and Snappy Patties in Arlington stands out for their deliciously messy patty melt sliders on homemade brioche bread.

And in burger breaking news, there's a new Smash Burger location in Westwood, Tasty Burger is now open at the Back Bay train station and Boston Burger Company has a spot in Harvard Square.

For more food and fun, watch the Phantom Gourmet Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 and 11 a.m. on My TV38.
