Phantom Gourmet Owners Buy Mendon Drive-In Theater

MENDON (CBS) - The Mendon Twin Drive-in movie theater has been sold to the owners of Phantom Gourmet.

Dan Andelman confirmed that he and his brothers Dave and Michael Andelman purchased the longtime staple.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In a posting on their website, the drive-in's previous owners called the Andelman family "the perfect buyers."

"They are interested in the preservation of the drive-in as well as expanding new horizons in keeping with a joyous outdoor family environment," the statement said.

The previous owners also said that they would be staying on staff as consultants during the transition.

The Mendon Twin Drive-in first opened in 1954.
