Phantom Gourmet: Food Trends In 2015

BOSTON (CBS) - Ramen noodles are a steaming hot restaurant trend and Totto Ramen in Allston serves up big bowls full of chicken broth, vegetables and sliced pork at an affordable price.

"Crush" in Boston and Nashua, New Hampshire uses a chipotle-style assembly line but instead of burritos they custom-make Neapolitan pizzas that are fired up quick.

With locations in West Newton, Wayland and Wellesley, The Local is a good example of the gastropub trend, so it's basically a neighborhood pub but with really good food.

Some other big trends to look for in 2015 are: savory waffles, artisan alcohol and spirits and any vegetable side dish that isn't kale.

Watch Phantom Gourmet on Saturdays and Sundays at 10:30 and 11 a.m. on myTV38.
