Phantom Gourmet: Cosi In Greater Boston

BOSTON (CBS) -- It seems like everybody is in a rush these days. And yet, everybody still wants food that's fresh, high quality, and made-to-order.

So that where a place called "Cosi" comes in to save the day. Cosi started out in Paris 20 years ago. And they now serve their famous European flatbread and a whole lot more at over a dozen locations in Greater Boston, including a brand new store in the Seaport.

"Gourmet sandwich, salad, soups. It's great food with an edge. Made from scratch... ...and it's a great value," RJ Dourney said.

Dourney came to Cosi as a local franchisee, and his stores became so successful, he recently took over as the company's CEO.

"I think what you see is this really cool combination of 3 things. One is, there's certainly comfort food on the menu.... there are a couple of items like the TBM that's... you know, tried and true. Fresh tomato, basil, mozzarella... little Italian dressing. Nothing off the reservation.... The second thing that you'll find is... really forward thinking recipes on the menu...

Trust me when I tell you the chefs are spectacular and they come up with great ideas. The third one is, this healthy halo that just constantly permeates through the menu. So if you want to be healthy, if you want to take care of yourself, we're going to have something for you. So if you're passionate about food, Cosi is a place where you want to go."
