Phantom Gourmet: Boston's Best Steak Frites

BOSTON (CBS) – Dan Andelman of the Phantom Gourmet visited restaurants that serve great steak frites.

The Merchant is Boston's Downtown Crossing puts an American spin on the classic French brasserie, and their "Flat iron steak frites" is a traditional top seller.

Bastille Kitchen in the Fort Point neighborhood uses prime skirt steak for their rendition of this popular dish.

At Port Bistro in Kingston, meat and potatoes could come in many forms like filet mignon, New York strip or marinated skirt steak served with addictive, crispy hand-cut fries.

You can also find some solid steak frites at Aquitaine in the South End, Dedham and Chestnut Hill and Moo at the XV Beacon hotel in Beacon Hill.
