Phantom Gourmet: Best Seaport Spots

BOSTON (CBS) -- With over 500 seats and 14,000 square feet, Empire Restaurant brings a taste of the Pacific Rim to Boston's Seaport District.

Way before the Seaport evolved into a hot dining destination, Yankee Lobster on Northern Ave became one of the city's top spots for seafood in the rough.

Restaurateur Nick Varano operates several eateries throughout greater Boston. Strega Waterfront at Fan Pier serves high-end Italian cuisine in a highly stylish atmosphere.

"The ambiance and the atmosphere in here, I believe, is second to none in the city," said Varano. "We want you to feel like a celebrity because you are."

And new to the Seaport, you can also find "Committee", serving Mediterranean small plates, and Chef Mario Battali's "Babbo", specializing in wood-fired pizza.
