Pet Parade: Lowell Humane Society

BOSTON (CBS) -- Two guinea pigs, one rabbit, and a pit bull currently up for adoption from Lowell Humane Society were featured on the Pet Parade Sunday morning.

Chanel, a six-year-old pit bull. (WBZ-TV)

Six-year-old pit bull Chanel is recovering from a skin issue her previous family could not afford to treat. She needs a home with no other pets, but children are fine! She has a sweet temperament and loves to cuddle.

Sophie, a two-year-old rabbit. (WBZ-TV)

Sophie was put up for adoption when her previous family realized taking care of a bunny was a lot more work than they expected. Rabbits are very social animals, something Lowell Humane Society workers said many people did not know. The two-year-old rabbit likes to snuggle, and would like to be with a family in a home, like a dog or cat--not put outside or in a garage, away from people.

Caramello and Vanilla, two one-month-old guinea pigs. (WBZ-TV)

Carmello and Vanilla, siblings who are one month old, were raised in a good foster home and are very social. They would be great with kids or adults, and they are looking to go to a home together!
