New SUV Destroyed After Car Carrier Hits Peabody Overpasses On 128

PEABODY (CBS) – A brand new SUV on top of a car carrier was destroyed after the truck hit multiple overpasses in Peabody Tuesday morning on Route 128 south.
The truck hit the overpasses to Endicott Street and Route 114 in Peabody, just south of the Danvers line.
The impact destroyed a 2020 Chevrolet Trax.
Officials from MassDOT responded to inspect the damage.
The right lane of the road was closed so the cars could be removed.
