Pedestrian dies of injuries after getting hit by car on Summit Street in Peabody

PEABODY - A pedestrian has died after getting hit by a car Sunday evening in Peabody.

It happened at around 7:40 p.m. on Summit Street. The victim, 61-year-old Robert King, was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

The Essex County District Attorney's office said the driver's name is being withheld due to the investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
