13-Year-Old Peabody Boy Dies After Being Hit By Car

PEABODY (CBS) – A 13-year-old was killed Tuesday night after he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle in Peabody.

It happened Tuesday around 8:45 p.m. on Andover Street. The boy was rushed to Salem Hospital but did not survive.

The driver, a 19-year-old Peabody man, stopped after the crash and is cooperating with police. No charges have been filed.

The crash remains under investigation.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the victim at this incredibly difficult time," said Peabody Police Chief Thomas Griffin.
