Pats Merchandise Fly Off The Shelves At Modell's In Medford
MEDFORD (CBS) - New England Patriots fans wasted little time making their way to Modell's Sporting Goods to buy AFC Championship gear following the team's 45-7 victory over the Indianapolis Colts Sunday night.
WBZ-TV's Paul Burton reports that fans were already at the store at 640 Fellsway before the championship game got underway.
The store is selling a wide variety of merchandise including t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, glasses and pennants.
Luke Butler was among the fans lined up to buy merchandise before the championship game was even over. It was the fifth time he has bought championship-related items at the store following a big victory by a Boston area sports team.
The Patriots will face the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl on February 1 in Arizona.
