Patriots Stand Pat At NFL Trade Deadline

BOSTON (CBS) -- The NFL trade deadline has come and gone, but unlike the last three seasons, the New England Patriots did not make a move.

Bill Belichick must feel just fine with his 7-0 Patriots, one of the four remaining unbeaten teams in the NFL.

There were a few rumors flying around the afternoon, including one that had the Patriots interested in Tennessee corner Jason McCourty, but no deal ever came to fruition on that front. There was also a last-second attempt by the Denver Broncos to acquire All Pro left tackle Joe Thomas from the Cleveland Browns, but that deal never materialized either.

Overall it was a quiet deadline day throughout the NFL, with no deals being made ahead of the 4 p.m. deadline. The most news-worthy trade came on Monday afternoon, when the Broncos acquired tight end Vernon Davis from the San Francisco 49ers for some late-round draft picks.
