Patriots Sign Tight End Fred Davis
BOSTON (CBS) - The Patriots added some depth to their tight end group on Monday, coming to terms on an agreement with former Redskins tight end Fred Davis.
It is a one-year deal according to ESPN's Adam Schefter:

Davis was reinstated by the NFL last week after missing the entire 2014 season for violating the league's substance abuse policy. He caught 162 passes for 2,043 yards and 13 touchdowns in six seasons with Washington (2008-2013).
Davis, 29, joins a tight end group consisting of Rob Gronkowski, Michael Hoomanawanui, Tim Wright, Scott Chandler and sixth round draft pick A.J. Derby. Davis will likely be on a short leash in New England, due to multiple off-field incidents which include two assault charges and a DWI.
