Patriots Roster Cuts Tracker: Pats Cut 24 Players, Including Both Kickers, J.J. Taylor, Cassh Maluia, Lamar Miller
5:34 p.m.: It took a while, but we got here. Here's a list of all the players cut by the Patriots on Saturday.
WR Andre Baccellia
TE/DE Rashod Berry
DL Tashawn Bower
OL Ben Braden
DB Myles Bryant
TE Jake Burt
TE Paul Butler
K Nick Folk
OL Tyler Gauthier
LB Terez Hall
LB Scoota Harris
QB Brian Lewerke
LB Cassh Maluia
RB Lamar Miller
DL Bill Murray
TE Paul Quessenberry
K Justin Rohrwasser
DB D'Angelo Ross
WR Devin Ross
RB J.J. Taylor
WR Jeff Thomas
DL Nick Thurman
DL Xavier Williams
WR Isaiah Zuber
Of course, the current roster is sure to change. The Patriots may claim players released by other teams, and/or sign free agents. Additionally, with an unlimited number of players being allowed to come off injured reserve this year, don't be surprised to see a number of players added to IR on Monday, with some of today's cut players re-signing.
But for now, most of the action of cut-down day is complete.
5:31 p.m.: We've got the last big bunch of names of players to get cut, and running back J.J. Taylor is sure to get the most attention. Also included in Jeff Howe's report are DT Xavier Williams, WR Isaiah Zuber, and DE Tashawn Bower.
The Patriots released Tashawn Bower, J.J. Taylor, Xavier Williams and Isaiah Zuber.

5 p.m.: OK, the Rohrwasser cut was not a total surprise. But cutting Nick Folk, too? Nobody saw that one coming.
The Patriots released Nick Folk, according to a source. So they're starting over at kicker.
— Jeff Howe (@jeffphowe) September 5, 2020
The Patriots can either sign a free agent or (perhaps more likely) re-sign Folk next week after creating roster room by placing a player on short-term IR.
4:54 p.m.: The deadline was almost an hour ago, but we're still getting word of the final cuts. Add TE/DE Rashod Berry to the list.
The Patriots released Rashod Berry, according to a source.

4:33 p.m.: A surprise but also not a surprise: rookie kicker Justin Rohrwasser is gone.

3:58 p.m.: Former Boston College tight end Jake Burt had a decent shot to make the team, just based on the lack of depth at the position. However, he was one of the team's final cuts.
BC's Jake Burt released by the Patriots, per source.

3:46 p.m.: Linebacker Cassh Maluia, drafted in the sixth round out of Wyoming, didn't make the team.
This is the biggest surprise of the day, in my opinion. They'll want Maluia back on the practice squad if he clears waivers, but there's no guarantee of that happening.
— Jeff Howe (@jeffphowe) September 5, 2020
3:04 p.m.: After a quiet stretch, a few more releases have been made: linebacker Scoota Harris and defensive backs Myles Bryant and D'Angelo Ross.
The Patriots waived UDFA DB Myles Bryant, per source.

1:22 p.m.: Paul Quessenberry was a very interesting story this summer. Alas, he didn't make the initial 53-man roster.
Paul Quessenberry is a great story. He last played football in 2014 as a defensive end at Navy. He was a Marines officer before returning to football this summer.

Practice squad is a possibility. https://t.co/9xQSKAZLy0
1:13 p.m.: The fine-tuning continues, as Nick Thurman was released.
Per source, DL Nick Thurman was released by the Patriots. Practice squad candidate if clears waivers.

12:25 p.m.: Undrafted rookie D-lineman Bill Murray, who stood out with his unique look and memorable name, didn't make the team.
The #Patriots released UDFA DT Bill Murray, per source.

12:20 p.m.: Wide receiver Devin Ross shined on some days in camp. Alas, he's the latest cut.
The Patriots have waived WR Devin Ross, per a source. Got off to a strong start in camp. Practice squad candidate if not claimed.
— Mike Reiss (@MikeReiss) September 5, 2020
12 p.m.: Veteran running back Lamar Miller was late to get onto the practice field this summer, and as a result, he didn't get much chance to prove himself. Jeff Howe says that Miller was released ... but also seemed to hint that the Patriots may be interested in keeping tabs on him.
The Patriots released RB Lamar Miller, per source. He debuted at practice this week. His status will be worth monitoring in the near future.

The team also released LB Terez Hall:

I've always enjoyed the downhill style of my former #Mizzou namesake — here's to hoping he latches on with a team quickly.
10:08 a.m.: The Athletic's Jeff Howe has two more cuts: offensive lineman Tyler Guathier and wide receiver Andre Baccellia.
The Patriots released Tyler Gauthier, per source.

Saturday, 9:35 a.m.: The Saturday cuts have begun.
The Patriots have released four players thus far, according to reports, with former Miami receiver Jeff Thomas the biggest name among them. Undrafted QB Brian Lewerke is also gone.

Thomas caught 83 passes for 1,316 yards and eight touchdowns in college, but he fought some injuries during camp which limited his availability. Evan Lazar said that the Patriots are hoping to get him onto their practice squad.
Lewerke, the former Michigan State QB, was released by the team in July but brought back after multiple players opted out of the season, thus creating room on the roster.
Friday, 11 a.m.: Training camp is over, and it's time for Bill Belichick and Nick Caserio to have a very busy couple of days.
Normally, this day would mark the morning after the final preseason game, an annual event which kicks off a series of cuts in the 36 or so hours that follow.
This year is of course very different, but the roster cuts will still be coming between now and 4 p.m. ET on Saturday.
To help keep track of all the comings and goings and placements on IR and potential practice squad players, we'll be updating this post right here with every Patriots transaction between now and the deadline.
Thus far, the Patriots have already released the following players:
DL Michael Barnett
DB Michael Jackson
WR Mohamed Sanu
Many more will come, and we'll keep track of them all right here.
