Kevin Faulk Stands With Tom Brady

BOSTON (CBS) -- There's no doubt Kevin Faulk stands with Tom Brady as the Patriots' quarterback gets set for his latest battle over DeflateGate.

Faulk, a 13-year Patriot and soon-to-be team Hall of Famer, donned a Brady jersey at the NFL Draft last month. He'll continue to support his former quarterback no matter where the DeflateGate battle ends.

"Wherever he stands, that's where I stand," Faulk told 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher & Rich on Tuesday. "He's been dealing with it more than I have, but I support whatever he does. Whatever happens [will happen], but he's trying to show the people he didn't do it and he's going to fight it."

Faulk didn't tell many people his plans for draft night, but those he did didn't think he would go through with it. He received support at the draft in Chicago, as the girl who brought him to the green room was actually a Patriots fan.

"That gave me a boost," he said, "'Let's go do this.'"

Brady called Faulk to thank him for the show of support at the draft, which Faulk said is nothing new.

"It's a brotherhood," he said. "A thank you for showing the respect we have for each other. That was all it is. It wasn't a big drawn out deal, it was a thank you.

"I've always been [close with Tom]. We may not talk everyday, but every time we pick up the phone we are ready to help each other."

Brady was recently named one of the most hated athletes in the Sporting News, ranking No. 5 on the list. Ray Lewis and his checkered past finished just ahead of Brady at No. 4, with career dirtbag Greg Hardy just behind Brady at No. 6.

"That's B.S.," Faulk said of Brady ranking fifth. "That's because you're successful."

Faulk also discussed his relationship with Bill Belichick and life after football:
