Patriots Fans Stock Up For Football Feast

NEWTON (CBS) -- It's time to gear up for game time and Patriots fans all over are loading up their shopping carts and warming up their ovens for a good old-fashioned football feast.

"I bought a little soda, chips, cheese, fruit," Tom Keough of Allston said.

Geoff Janowski of Blue Ribbon BBQ in Newton said the AFC Championship is big for business. "Football, tailgating and barbeque go perfectly together," he said.

Janowski said he's opening his restaurant early Sunday to prepare for the influx of online, call-in and catering orders.

"We see a huge difference in our revenue when the Patriots proceed. We've been smoking every day for the last week to get ready for this process. We will sell as much meat as we sell in a typical week in that one day," Janowski said.

Blue Ribbon has specific fan packages for the AFC Championship game in Denver.

"We have lots of game day packages we put together specifically for tailgate-type food like chicken wings, nachos, ribs, that people like to munch on," Janowski said.

Business is also booming at Best Buy.

Stuart Martinez bought a brand new, flat-screen TV Saturday just in time for the news game. "Pretty excited. the old one was older than I was," he said.

Martinez was cautiously optimistic about his team's chances to beat the Broncos and earn an AFC title. "Patriots but it will be close," he said.
