Tom Brady On 6th Super Bowl: 'Never Imagined This In Wildest Dreams'

BOSTON (CBS) --  Tom Brady's incredible career will have a new footnote for the record books come Sunday, when the Patriots quarterback plays in his sixth Super Bowl.

And with every Super Bowl comes Media Day, which was held Tuesday at US Airways Arena in Phoenix, Arizona. Brady, a savvy veteran of the media circus, was bombarded with questions ranging from his place in the history of the game to the "Deflategate" scandal. He got a few lighter questions, like where was his wife, Gisele Bundchen.

She's at home with the kids.

Brady even admitted to having a few lucky charms that he's acquired over the years to keep him safe and healthy.

But what stood out from his hour-long chat with reporters (and some non-reporters), was the quarterback's own amazement at what he will accomplish when he suits up against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Former Rams quarterback Kurt Warner, who Brady and the Patriots beat back in 2002 for their first title in franchise history, now works for NFL Network, and asked Brady for his thoughts on preparing for his sixth Super Bowl.

"I never imagined this in my wildest dreams," said Brady. "I loved playing sports growing up, and I loved having a chance as a kid to go out and play with my friends. To play football in the streets with older boys was fun.

"To get a chance to play in the Super Bowl --  I never thought I'd play in one. It's pretty unbelievable to play in six," he continued. "I've played so many great teammates over the years, guys who really made the Patriots legacy. This team has really got to establish our own identity, and we have a great chance to do that on Sunday."

It's been 10 seasons since Brady won his last title, a drought he would like to see end with a victory over the Seahawks. His three young children haven't seen their father raise the Lombardi Trophy in person, and that's something he would like to change.

"That would be great. I would love the opportunity for them to enjoy that," said Brady. "They've had a couple where dad wasn't so happy after the game."

But Brady also knows he's going up against one of the best defenses in the NFL, and the defending champs.

"Hopefully we can be at our very best; it's a big challenge for our team but I'm excited about it," he said. "Seattle has earned it. They're a great football team and we're going to have to go out and play at our best."

While he was asked a handful of questions on the matter, Brady said he and his teammates won't let the "Deflategate" chatter get in the way of their Super Bowl preparations.

"We've been pretty focused. The guys have been locked in and we know the challenge ahead of us. We're not going to let anything get in the way of that."

Jerod Mayo's young daughter was part of the Media Day fun, and made her rounds with the Patriots players. She asked Brady on how many touchdowns he'll throw Sunday.

"As many as it takes," he replied.
