Patrice Bergeron Joins Fundraising Effort For Injured Hockey Player Denna Laing

BOSTON (CBS) – Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron is joining the effort to help raise money for a professional women's hockey player who suffered a serious spinal cord injury during the Winter Classic.

Denna Laing, a player for the Boston Pride of the NWHL, was injured when she crashed into the boards at Gillette Stadium during game.

To raise money for Laing's medical expenses, Bergeron donated his personal suite at TD Garden for the team's January 26 game against the Anaheim Ducks.

The suite includes 12 tickets to the game and food.

After the game, Bergeron will host a meet and greet with winning group.
