Parents Stabbed In Fairhaven, Son Arrested

FAIRHAVEN (CBS) – A man was arrested Monday morning after police say he stabbed his parents in Fairhaven.

Officers were called to the School Administration Building on Washington Street just after 9:15 a.m. and found a woman with a knife wound to her neck. Her husband was found at the house next door also suffering from stab wounds.

They were both taken to St. Luke's Hospital for treatment. There's no word yet on their conditions.

Officers then arrested a 27-year-old man, believed to be their son. He was also taken to St. Luke's "suffering from minor injuries believed to have been sustained during the assault," police said in a statement.

No names have been released. Police said criminal charges "are imminent."

No other information is available at this point in the investigation.
