Panthers Trade Tim Thomas To Dallas

BOSTON (CBS) - It looks like Tim Thomas and Roberto Luongo won't be teammates after all, as Florida sent Thomas to the Dallas Stars Wednesday afternoon.

Thomas lost his final start as a Panther, 4-1, to the Bruins at the TD Garden on Tuesday night.

The Panthers' return on the trade has not been announced yet.

Thomas' numbers are down this year in Florida, as the two-time Vezina winner is 16-20-3 with a GAA of 2.87 and a save percentage of .909. The former Bruin will turn 40 next month, and has struggled outside Claude Julien's system.

TSN's Bob McKenzie broke the story, much to the chagrin of Luongo's (rumored) Twitter account.
