Otis Nixon, Former Red Sox Outfielder, Found Safe After Being Reported Missing

WOODSTOCK, Ga. (CBS) – Police in Georgia say a former Red Sox player has been found safe after going missing over the weekend.

Woodstock police said Sunday night that Otis Nixon, 58 was last seen leaving his home Saturday in a gray Range Rover.

Nixon never arrived at his scheduled tee time at a local golf course, police said.

But police announced Monday that Nixon had been found safe. No other details were released.

The outfielder played in the Major Leagues from 1983 to 1999, spending the 1994 season in Boston.
