One Killed, Two Injured After Truck Speeds Away From NH Police

WEARE, N.H. (CBS) – One person was killed after trying to elude police at a high rate of speed early Friday morning in New Hampshire.

New Boston Police were attempting to stop a 1997 GMC pickup truck for driving without taillights on Route 114 north when the driver allegedly refused to stop.

A short time later the truck crashed off the southbound shoulder on Route 114 in Weare.

All three people inside the truck were ejected from the vehicle.

One of the people in the truck was declared dead at Concord Hospital.

Two others suffered serious injuries and were taken to a Manchester hospital.

New Hampshire State Police said initial investigation indicates that the truck crashed as a result of attempts to elude New Boston police at a high rate of speed.
