One Killed, One Seriously Injured In 3-Car Milton Crash

MILTON (CBS) – One man was killed during a three-car crash Saturday in Milton.

Massachusetts State Police responded to the crash just after 6 a.m. on Route 28 in Milton.

Early investigation shows that a 38-year-old Boston woman was driving on Route 28 South in her 1995 Toyota Corrolla near Chickatawbut Road.

The woman's car was rear-ended by a 2008 Infinity being driven by a 31-year-old Holbrook man.

Following the crash, the Boston woman's car was pushed into the breakdown lane while the Infinity drove into the northbound lane and struck a 2013 Honda Accord head on.

After being removed from his car by Milton firefighters, the driver of the Honda was transported to Milton Hospital. He was eventually pronounced dead.

The driver of the Infinity was transported to Boston Medical Center and treated for serious injuries.

Police said the woman who was driving in the Toyota was taken to Carney Hospital along with an 8-year-old girl who was also in the car. Each suffered minor injuries.

No charges have been filed as of Saturday morning, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

State police have not yet released the identity of the man who was killed in the crash, pending family notification.
