Oldest Former Red Sox Player Holds World Series Trophy
MILLBURY (CBS) - Louis Lucier of Millbury is 95 years young. He's the oldest former living Red Sox player and today he got the chance to hold the World Series trophy. "I am very happy to be a baseball player. Especially for the Boston Red Sox," Lucier said.
Lucier was born in 1918, the same year the Sox won the World Series at Fenway Park. He's in the Grafton High School Hall of Fame and pitched for the Red Sox from 1943-1944.
"I was the pitcher against the Chicago White Sox and pitched another Saturday game in Boston against the Detroit Tigers," Lucier said.

These days he's quite the celebrity at his retirement location at the Millbury Health Care Center. Dozens of fans took pictures with the Lucier as he held the trophy proudly in his arms.
"I never thought this day would come. It doesn't get any better than this. I am so happy to see this trophy," Lucier said.
